Assets reference
The actual list of fields, tabs, and conditions in the Assets module. For step-by-step actions, see Working with assets. For how everything is organized, see Assets: how it works.
Card fields
Section titled “Card fields”Every asset has the base fields regardless of its type.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Asset type | yes | Determines the set of remaining fields |
| Name | no | Asset name |
| Inventory number | yes | Unique number; may be filled in automatically |
| Assign | yes (on creation) | Owner: Location or Employee |
| Notes | no | Free-form text |
When creating an asset, the owner is selected in the Assign block; when editing, this block is absent.
Fields by asset type
Section titled “Fields by asset type”These fields appear in the form and on the card only if they are enabled in the field display settings of the selected asset type (see Asset types). The fields are grouped by form sections: Characteristics, Dates, Finances, Purchase.
| Field | Section |
|---|---|
| Serial number / IMEI | General |
| Vendor | Characteristics |
| Model | Characteristics |
| Commissioning date | Dates |
| Date of completion of operation | Dates |
| Date of purchase | Dates |
| Warranty up to | Dates |
| Price for 1 unit of the asset | Finances |
| Residual value of 1 unit of the asset | Finances |
| Number of units | Finances |
| Seller | Purchase |
| Purchase information (invoice number, warranty sheet, etc.) | Purchase |
The serial number is checked for uniqueness: on a duplicate, the system shows “this serial number already exists in the system.” Besides these fields, you can attach custom fields to an asset type — they appear as a separate form section and on the card.
