Kinds of attachments

Limits and types

In addition to the size of an individual file, a shared storage quota set by the plan applies to the whole company. When it is exceeded, the upload is rejected with the message Storage quota exceeded for your plan.

On an asset the gallery is shown right on the page (not as a separate tab); on a work order the Photos tab is available only when an asset is linked to the work order.

Above the list there is a Filter current page field (filter by file name); columns sort by clicking the header; the list is paged.
Preview
Section titled “Preview”The Preview window opens a file without downloading it. Supported:
- images;
- PDF;
- text and CSV spreadsheets;
- Word documents (
.docx); - Excel spreadsheets (
.xlsx).
For other types, the message Preview is not available for this file type. and a download button are shown.
Photo source
Section titled “Photo source”A gallery can show photos taken in related records. Such a snapshot is tagged From … with a link to the source (for example, a work order or an inventory check). The Set as main and Delete actions are available only for photos that belong to the record itself.
Access permissions
Section titled “Access permissions”There are no separate permissions for files — they are inherited from the record they are attached to.
