Locations reference
The factual list of columns, fields, and settings of the Locations module. For step-by-step actions, see Managing locations. For how everything works, see Locations: how it works.

| Responsible person | The employee accountable for assets at this location (if assigned) |
| Number of units of assets | How many assets are currently held at the location |
Above the list there is a search box and a New location button.
The list is shown as a tree: locations with children have an expand arrow.

Card tabs
Section titled “Card tabs”A location card opens by clicking a row in the list. At the top it shows the name, description, responsible person, and — for a nested location — the path from the top level (breadcrumbs).
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| All assets | The assets currently held at the location |
| Activity | The change log of the location |
| Attachments | Files attached to the location (see Files and photos) |
In a write-off location, assets on the All assets tab have a delete button.
Access permissions
Section titled “Access permissions”Location permissions follow the locations.* pattern: view, create, edit, and delete. Deletion is additionally restricted by the requirement that the location be empty. Permissions are granted through a user’s role.
