The actual list of statuses, sections, and actions of the offboarding process. For step-by-step actions, see How to offboard an employee. For how it all works, see Employee offboarding: how it works.
The employee’s employment status is shown as a badge on the card, in lists, and when selecting an employee.
| Status | Badge | Meaning |
|---|
| Active | — | The employee works; you can check out assets and assign tickets |
| Offboarding in progress | Will be terminated as of DD.MM.YYYY (yellow) | Offboarding is scheduled, the date has not arrived yet; the employee keeps working |
| Terminated | Terminated (red) | The process is complete; access is blocked, the employee is removed from selection lists |
| Status | Meaning |
|---|
| Scheduled | The process is created, items are being handled |
| Completed | The employee is terminated (manually or automatically on the termination date) |
| Cancelled | The scheduled offboarding is cancelled, the employee is active again |
The Employees section is split into two tabs.
| Tab | Contents |
|---|
| Active | Working employees and employees in the offboarding process |
| Terminated | Terminated employees; the column shows the count of assets still assigned to them |
The Start offboarding window (the Action menu on an active employee’s card).
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|
| Termination date | yes | The day work ends; the past, present, or future is allowed |
| Description | no | A comment with the reason |
On the process screen, tabs appear only when they have items; the tab label shows their count (for example, “Assets (3)”).
| Tab | Contents | Actions |
|---|
| Assets | Assets assigned to the employee | Accept assets, Mark as lost |
| Licenses | License seats taken by the employee | Return |
| Tickets & Work Orders | The employee’s active tickets and work orders | Reassign |
| Locations | Locations the employee is responsible for | Reassign |
| Action | What it does |
|---|
| Accept assets | Accepts the selected assets into a specified location with a specified condition |
| Mark as lost | Marks the selected assets as lost; they stay assigned to the employee |
| Return | Frees the selected license seats |
| Reassign | Transfers the selected tickets/work orders to an assignee or group, and locations to another employee |
| Terminate now | Completes offboarding immediately; unavailable while there are active tickets or work orders |
| Cancel offboarding | Cancels the scheduled offboarding; the employee is active again |
| Reactivate | Returns a terminated employee to active and unblocks system access |
| Status | Meaning |
|---|
| Outstanding | The asset is still assigned to the employee and has not been accepted |
| Lost | The asset is marked as lost |
An accepted asset disappears from the Assets tab list.
- Offboarding cannot be completed manually while the employee has active tickets or work orders.
- You cannot offboard an employee whose account is the company owner; ownership must first be transferred to another user.
- Cancellation and reactivation do not return already accepted assets and freed licenses; lost assets stay lost.
All offboarding process actions require the employees.delete right — the same one responsible for deleting employees. The right is granted through the user’s role.
| Right | Action |
|---|
employees.delete | Starting offboarding, handling process tabs, completing, cancelling, and reactivating |
